If you’re basing your life on the word of God, isn’t it great to know it’s eternal? It stands firm, you can trust it not to change with the trends! It’s based on truth, which is sure and constant. It’s dependable and established so you don’t have to worry that it may no longer apply to your current situation. It always applies! It has stood the test of time and has been proven; it endures to this day! So what does that mean to you and me? It means you never have to wonder if you should do what it says; you should. You never have to worry if it will lead you astray; it won’t. You never have to consider a better option; there isn’t any. I like the certainty that provides. It simplifies things.

David testifies of the effect the word of God had in his life, in fact, he credits God’s word with saving his life. He was a guy who truly delighted in God and cherished His word. He determined he would never turn from God’s precepts because he recognized they were responsible for bringing him through some really difficult moments.
