Though I Have Fallen, I Will Rise

Do not gloat over me, my enemy! Though I have fallen, I will rise. Though I sit in darkness, the Lord will be my light. Because I have sinned against him, I will bear the Lord’s wrath, until he pleads my case and upholds my cause. He will bring me out into the light; I will see his righteousness. Micah 7:8-9 NIV

If you have fallen prey to the deceitfulness of sin, don’t give up, there is a way out! Read these words of Micah again and again and allow God to fill you with hope. Satan will tell you it’s too late, you’ve gone too far, you’ve repeated the pattern one too many times. But Satan is a liar! Do not allow the enemy to gloat over you. Repent and rise back up. Allow God to restore you. Though you sit in darkness, the Lord will be your light!

Listen to the word of God through Micah, Because I have sinned against him, I will bear the Lord’s wrath, until he pleads my case and upholds my cause. Jesus is your advocate, He pleads your case before the Father. He pleads for your forgiveness. Because you deserve it? No! The evidence He brings to uphold your cause, is His own death on the cross. Yes, you have fallen into sin, but Jesus didn’t. He paid the full price for your sin when He allowed them to drive the nails through his hands. Now He stands before the Father pleading for your forgiveness. If you repent, He will bring you out of the darkness and back into the light!

Don’t stay down! It’s time to get back up again!

Although a righteous person may fall seven times, he gets up again. Proverbs 24:16a NET
