God Will Light The Way

Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.” Isaiah 30:21 NIV

It’s easy in life to get off track and lose our way. It happens to all of us at one time or another. Wouldn’t it be great, if during those times, God provided road signs for us to follow? Actually, in a very real sense, He does just that.

So we have the prophetic word made more sure, to which you do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts. But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation, for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God. 2 Peter 1:19-21 NASB

The word of God  is like a lamp shining in a dark place. I don’t know about you, but I’ve been in a “dark place” a time or two in my life, a place where I couldn’t see my way out, and struggled to know which way to turn. When it’s dark, a lamp goes a long way! You see, the Bible isn’t just a book written by lots of different people; they may have  penned the words, but God is the real author. His Spirit moved men to write the very words we would need to see our way out of darkness.

Help is not out of reach! God loves you and He wants to light your path! If you want His guidance, it is attainable.

Now what I am commanding you today is not too difficult for you or beyond your reach. It is not up in heaven, so that you have to ask, “Who will ascend into heaven to get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?” Nor is it beyond the sea, so that you have to ask, “Who will cross the sea to get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?” No, the word is very near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart so you may obey it. Deuteronomy 30:11-14 NIV

God is approachable and He invites you to discover the answers  you need in His word. Will you dig into the Bible and apply it’s truth to your life?

“Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live! You can make this choice by loving the Lord your God, obeying him, and committing yourself firmly to him. This is the key to your life. Deuteronomy 30:19-20a NLT
