“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.” Jeremiah 17:7-8 NIV
We all go through seasons of drought, when the heat is on and life is less than kind. It’s in these times of testing that our faith remains strong and carries us through or it fails and we wither like a tree without water.
Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, who truly believes that God will cause all things to work together for good, and understands that He is for us and not against us! Blessed is the one who walks in confidence, not because they see light at the end of the tunnel but because they know God will guide them through the darkness and never leave their side. Such confidence brings them hope and refreshes them during the times of drought. For drought cannot effect the one who has a constant source of water!

When the heat is on and you feel the pressure, take time to be refreshed in the presence of God. Let Him be your constant source of strength and life. As you trust in Him you will thrive even in the times of drought and others will benefit from the fruit you bear.
