In the morning, LORD, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly. Psalm 5:3 NIV
There’s no better way to start the day than talking with the Lord and I’m amazed that the Lord loves to hear our voice every morning! How awesome it is to know that the Creator of the world listens when we pray. He’s never too busy, and never in a rush, in fact He encourages us to lay our requests before Him and wait expectantly for His response!
Prayer is two way communication! While God welcomes us to share our requests with Him, to speak with Him about everything, He also wants us to listen for His response. Isaiah put it this way:
He wakens me morning by morning, wakens my ear to listen like one being instructed. Isaiah 50:4b NIV
God speaks to us! It really doesn’t get any better than that! We just need to quiet ourselves and engage in prayer long enough to hear His voice . God always has the answer and He is willing to share it with us when we wait for His response! Just like God spoke to Isaiah every morning, He will speak to you and I too, if we’ll take the time to listen. There is no one better to receive instructions from than God!
