“Seek the Lord while He may be found; call on Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts. Let them turn to the Lord, and He will have mercy on them, and to our God, for He will freely pardon.” Isaiah 55:6-7 NIV
Seek – to investigate, ask for, require, demand, follow
Forsake – to leave behind, abandon, depart from, let go
Do we seek the Lord to the degree that we don’t just ask for Him, but actually require Him to be content? Does our spirit demand Him to be satisfied? If so, we will follow Him. We will leave behind, abandon, let go & depart from anything and everything that stands in the way our relationship with Him! When we want Him that bad, we are on the right track, until then we are just engaging in “religion”…I’m not a fan of religion!
I can honestly say that I am not a fan of religion either. I can also say that my spirit does require Him to feel satisfied. I do however need help to seek and demand that he be part of my life daily, to the extent that I freely let go of any chains that remain in the way of having the relationship that I so badly need to feel content and at peace at all times.
