We Are Loved And Not Alone

And Lo I am with you always, even unto the end of the world”  Matt. 28:20b KJV

How much are we loved by God? This prior statement just about sums it up. No one but God has the capacity to make such a commitment! And how many of us really would if we could? This command goes well beyond our own families and friends, although Jesus makes this promise to his apostles (disciples), it applies to all disciples. And it translates to us as believers. As we walk with Jesus daily, we are also his disciples.

Maybe you’ve heard at one time or another that the Gospel “is not just about love.”  While there is some truth behind this, we need be careful to not let this dilute his message. Every one of us has the desire to be loved, none is spared of this, it is a God given desire. When this world seems empty God not only lets us know he loves us, but also that he will never leave us.

How simple is it to obtain this love? God says throughout his word, “Call on me; seek me.” This is the main theme to the life and times of mankind up until our Lord Jesus came forth.

Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know. Jeremiah 33:3 NIV

He will call on me, and I will answer him. Psalm 91:15a NIV

Jesus says, “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you,” (Matthew 7:7) and simply, “Follow me.” (John 21:22) He says follow me throughout the Gospel many more times too.

This is what the LORD says: “Only if the heavens above can be measured and the foundations of the earth below be searched out will I reject all the descendants of Israel because of all they have done,” Jeremiah 31:37 NIV

Since through the Gospel we see that this promise translates to all followers, (Ephesians 3:6) God is telling us that he will NEVER reject those who follow him in Christ Jesus! What a promise! Each and every one of us who believe and follow are never alone and always loved! BY HIM.

How simple is it to feel his love and his fellowship?

Call on me….Follow me….

While it, of course, requires a commitment of sacrifice and obedience, the main message?

Jesus last command: “These things I command thee; Love one another.” (John 15:17)
