The prophet Elisha summoned a man from the company of the prophets and said to him, “Tuck your cloak into your belt, take this flask of olive oil with you and go to Ramoth Gilead. When you get there, look for Jehu son of Jehoshaphat, the son of Nimshi. Go to him, get him away from his companions and take him into an inner room. Then take the flask and pour the oil on his head and declare, ‘This is what the Lord says: I anoint you king over Israel.’ Then open the door and run; don’t delay!” 2 Kings 9:1-3 NIV
God wants to speak to all of us. We need to take time, “away from our companions” to listen to Him. There’s incredible value in spending time alone with God, the distractions set aside, completely focusing attention on Him, Bible in hand, listening, with the intention of hearing His voice. Regular time, alone in His presence will change your life!

Early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up and slipped out to a solitary place to pray. Mark 1:35 NIV
In those days, Jesus went out to the mountain to pray, and He spent the night in prayer to God. Luke 6:12 NIV
