Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans. Proverbs 16:3 NIV
If you want the Lord to bless you with a fruitful life, always commit what you do to him. When a man is born again he gives his life over to God and allows him to Lord over it. Once we make that initial commitment to our Lord, the concept of committing everything we do to him on a daily basis shouldn’t be an issue.
Our Heavenly Father says;
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11 NIV
Here he tells us of his desire for us, his plans for us. What a wonderful promise included in his word! He will even remove our obstacles, if we let him.
When the Lord takes pleasure in anyone’s way, he causes their enemies to make peace with them. Proverbs 16:7 NIV
We know the Lord has a purpose and a plan for us. We only need to walk with him down the path he lights for us, committing all we do to him- and our plans will succeed.
In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps. Proverbs 16:9 NIV
Within this committed walk, he will consider the things we plan, and bless us by giving us the perfect steps to carry out his plan! How encouraging!
It all starts with our commitment to Him!
The Lord does NOT make it difficult to lead wonderful lives, filled with joy, hope and love. So what does it take to make and keep this commitment? In a word – Jesus!
To fuel our daily walk, we need to engage our bodies, souls, minds and hearts. Jesus is the one who supplies us this very fuel.
Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.” John 6:35 NIV
God supplies us with our plan and with the very fuel needed to carry it out so we can live a prosperous life, full of hope! All he asks is for our complete commitment to him!
He even searches us out, in order to insure we all have a chance at knowing his plan and purpose for our lives!
For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him. 2 Chronicles 16:9a NIV
Keep your eyes on HIM, and Love one another.
