But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23 NKJV
Love is the ultimate goal, because eternal life is the ultimate goal. What is eternal life?
And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. John 17:3 NKJV
There is one who is trying to take this from us all. It is not only the Christian but non-believers are also are under attack.
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 1 Peter 5:8 NKJV
The evil one is real. How do we know? Jesus confirmed this on the night he was arrested.
“I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one.” John 17:15 NKJV
The enemy knows his fate, but his sole purpose is take as many as he can from eternal life in heaven.
It is written:
These six things the Lord hates, Yes, seven are an abomination to Him: A proud look, A lying tongue, Hands that shed innocent blood, A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that are swift in running to evil, A false witness who speaks lies, And one who sows discord among brethren. Proverbs 6:16-19 NKJV
All of these things are being thrust upon humanity today. Look for the signs and avoid the traps.
Our enemy hates; he divides and he isolates. He fights against the fruit of the Spirit, and he sleeps with those things that God hates. He sows evil among us so let us remember three things we know to be true.
First, God has provided protection.
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Ephesians 6:10-11 NKJV
Second, we have this option.
Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. James 4:7 NKJV
Third, he has no authority over us.
Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” Luke 10:19 NKJV
Keep your eyes open for the traps of the enemy, recognize them, avoid them, and remember we are prepared for battle!
Love one another.
