Keep Your Eyes On God

Look to Me, and be saved, All you ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other. Isaiah‬ ‭45:22‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

God warned us that in the last days, difficult times would come, and we are certainly living in difficult times. Though these times were promised, we must be careful not to let them distract us. The enemy’s goal is to get our focus off God but there’s never been a more important time to stay focused.

But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. II Timothy‬ ‭3:13 NKJV‬‬

Our Lord has given us every reason to understand what could happen, and how to combat it.  We do so by remembering the hope we have in Christ.

Moses wrote:

And the Lord, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed. Deuteronomy‬ ‭31:8 NKJV‬‬

God tells us in Isaiah:

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you. For I am the Lord your God, The Holy One of Israel, your Savior. Isaiah‬ ‭43:2 NKJV

Rather than focus on what the enemy wants us to focus on: current events, news, politics, disease, and the enemy’s own agenda; let’s keep our eyes on our Lord’s written word.

If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. Colossians‬ ‭3:1-2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The enemy wants to divide us, isolate us, lie to us, entice us, and the finally – accuse us!

The Lord, who has and will deliver us, says this:

Jesus answered and said to her, “Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.” John 4:13-14 NKJV

Keep in mind these words of Jonah:

When my soul fainted within me, I remembered the Lord; And my prayer went up to You, Into Your holy temple. Jonah‬ ‭2:7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

God is with us, he is in control, and he’s given us the pathway to hope- Christ Jesus!

Let us all remind each other to focus on the Way and the Word.
