Truly God Is Always With Us

Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.  James 4:8 NJKV

We must believe and remember that God is always with us. As we draw near to Him, we find Him, but our journey always starts with faith.

But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Hebrews 11:6 NJKV

Be sure to look to God in all things, and you will see evidence of His presence.

It is written:

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9 NIV

Sometimes God lets us see just how close He really is. While wandering through the dessert, Moses and the Israelites were constantly reminded that God was with them.

“By day the Lord went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud to guide them on their way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so that they could travel by day or night. Neither the pillar of cloud by day nor the pillar of fire by night left its place in front of the people.”  Exodus 13:21-22 NIV

God is always needed, and always there!

Moses leaned entirely on the Lord, and he valued God’s presence, but even Moses needed reassurance. He wanted to see God.

Then Moses said, “Now show me your glory.” And the Lord said, “I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim my name, the Lord, in your presence. I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.  But,” he said, “you cannot see my face, for no one may see me and live.” Then the Lord said, “There is a place near me where you may stand on a rock. When my glory passes by, I will put you in a cleft in the rock and cover you with my hand until I have passed by. Then I will remove my hand and you will see my back; but my face must not be seen.” Exodus 33:18-22 NIV

All Moses had to do was ask.  Could it be that simple? I believe it is.

“Am I not a God near at hand,” says the Lord, “And not a God afar off? Can anyone hide himself in secret places, so I shall not see him?” says the Lord; “Do I not fill heaven and earth?” says the Lord. Jeremiah 23:23-24 NKJV

All we have to do is draw near Him, and God will do the rest.

Love one another.
