“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33 NIV
We will have trials in this world. Yes, even as believers, we live in this world and suffer real world consequences to our real world actions. We are not exempt from troubles, but God has that covered. Trials of any kind don’t last forever, but we will get through them.
It is written:
And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. 1 Peter 5:10 NIV
Whatever your trial, God will only allow it long enough for his purpose and plan to be fulfilled.
It is written:
Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken. Psalms 55:22 NIV
Our trials strengthen us. They reinforce our faith. God desires strength, His strength, to develop in all of us. He wants our faith and in His Son to grow and for us to always trust our Lord and Savior.
For it is written:
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11 NIV
Our trials, while never really welcome, at times lead us right to Him, where we all want to be!
