Then the Lord said to Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh and say, ‘Will I really have a child, now that I am old?’ Is anything too hard for the Lord? I will return to you at the appointed time next year, and Sarah will have a son.” Genesis 18:13-14 NIV
It is important to remember that God has created all things, the universe, the world , and humankind. So the answer to the question posed to Abraham is “No, there is nothing too hard for our Lord.” He has raised the dead back to life, healed the sick, and endured horrific treatment on the cross.
It is written:
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:8-9 NIV
We cannot view our earthly trials through our own lens. For what seems to be impossible to us, is child’s play for the Lord. When it is time to overcome, He alone can get us through anything. He overcame the grave!
Jesus says:
“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.” Revelation 22:13 NIV
Nothing is too hard for our Lord!
Love one another.
