“Be strong and of good courage, for to this people you shall divide as an inheritance the land which I swore to their fathers to give them. Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go.” Joshua 1:6-7 NKJV Though out the Bible, His written word, our Lord reminds us that we never have anything to fear when he is with us. As Christian’s, we know He promises to always be with us. So then, what then are we to fear? Paul writes: For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. II Timothy 1:7 NKJV Knowing we are in the world, and not of it, God protects us and equips us for everything we may encounter. While we remain in Christ Jesus we are always equipped and He remains by our side. Each and every one of us, regardless of the strength of our walk, are hit with doubts and fears from time to time. We get caught off guard, by all sorts of troubles, trials, and dilemmas. The enemy, the world, and even our own flesh at times will betray us. But the Lord has mercy! Paul writes: What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? Romans 8:31 NKJV God is in control of everything, so why worry? He tells us to “Be of good courage” and “Fear not,” all throughout His word! Praise the Lord! It is written: Therefore I will look to the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation; My God will hear me. Do not rejoice over me, my enemy; When I fall, I will arise; When I sit in darkness, The Lord will be a light to me. Micah 7:7-8 NKJV We have nothing to fear in Christ, so we are reminded: “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9 NKJV Remember Christ’s command; love one another… Barnabas
