Now Thomas, called the Twin, one of the twelve, was not with them when Jesus came. The other disciples therefore said to him, “We have seen the Lord.” So he said to them, “Unless I see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.” And after eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, “Peace to you!” Then He said to Thomas, “Reach your finger here, and look at My hands; and reach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing.” And Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!”
Many people believe that Jesus was a good man or a prophet, but Thomas got it right when he exclaimed, “My Lord and my God!”
Jesus said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” John 20:24-29 NKJV
Thomas was with Jesus during the three years of Jesus ministry, but even he had trouble believing without seeing. If there was ever a time for Thomas to be corrected, it would’ve been right there. Jesus appeared in the upper room, resurrected just as he’d spoken before his death. Jesus was indeed God! That exclamation needed no correction!
Jesus Christ is our Lord and God!
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. John 1:1-3 NKJV
The Word was God!
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14 NKJV
The biggest, and most important challenge in this world is recognizing that Christ is God.
Christ says:
“If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.” John 14:7 NKJV
The apostle John’s Gospel, was written to allow its readers to understand deity of Jesus.
On a final note, Jesus says:
“My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. I and My Father are one.” John 10:29-30 NKJV
Share with those you cross paths, whom might entertain the enemies lies and doubt the deity of Jesus, this simple truth!
Jesus is the Way, the Truth , and the Life!
Thank you Jesus- My Lord and my God!
Love one another.

Special thanks to Barnabas for this guest submission.
Thank you for posting the word of God
You bring a thought to my mind that I never had. Jesus surely could have brought to the conversation that Thomas had walked with him 3 years hearing his teachings, seeing the miracles, and and how Christ lived his life but he still doubted Christ’s being the son of God. It touches my heart even more the love and patience our Lord shows to us when we are enlightened to our ignorance. Thank you for the thought provoking post. May God continue to bless you.
