I’m amazed, humbled, and if I’m being honest, a bit intimidated by the thought that God knows me so well. Not only does He see everything I do, but He knows my thoughts, my motivations and what I’m going to say even before I say it. How is it that He is so familiar with all my ways? He has taken the time to search me! I’m on His radar screen, He thinks about me all the time! We serve a God who is present, active and engaged in our lives! He takes “relationship” with us very seriously!
If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me. Psalm 139:9-10 ESV
No matter where you are, God’s hand can lead you! You cannot go so far that He will not hold you!
For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, and my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from You, when I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth; Your eyes have seen my unformed substance; and in Your book were all written, the days that were ordained for me, when as yet there was not one of them. Psalm 139:13-16 ESV
God is intimately acquainted with you because He made you! He carefully designed every detail of your body, mind and spirit. He gave you breath and life. He is the reason you exist. Can anyone know you better than that? Is there anyone more deserving of your attention?
How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! I can’t even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand! And when I wake up, you are still with me! Psalm 139:17-18 NLT
You are on God’s mind. He knows you and He loves you. He has a wonderful life planned out for you, one that includes an intimate personal relationship with Him! Are you living that life? Do you know Him?
