Remember God’s Faithfulness

He rebuked the Red Sea, and it dried up;  he led them through the depths as through a desert. He saved them from the hand of the foe;  from the hand of the enemy he redeemed them. The waters covered their adversaries;  not one of them survived. Then they believed his promises and sang his praise. But they soon forgot what he had done and did not wait for his plan to unfold. In the desert they gave in to their craving; in the wilderness they put God to the test. Psalm 106:9-14

When God leads us out of tough circumstances our faith increases and we sing His praises! That’s all good, but what about the next time something goes wrong? Do we remember God’s faithfulness and trust Him in the desert? Do we remember that all things work together for good in the lives of those who love God and wait patiently for His plan to unfold? Or do we lose it emotionally, give in to our cravings and put God to the test? Lord, may we learn to handle adversity by keeping things in perspective and remembering your faithfulness.
