He Alone Is Enough!

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. John‬ ‭3:16-17‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Life is filled with hills and valleys, good times and bad; but at all times God is worthy of our praise!

Praise the Lord, all you nations; extol him, all you peoples. For great is his love toward us, and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever. Praise the Lord. Psalms‬ ‭117:1-2‬ ‭NIV‬‬

When we ride a wave of highs, and God’s hand of favor rests heavily upon us, we acknowledge him in every moment. But we must not forget to honor him when the blessings aren’t as easy to see. For he is always worthy!

For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless. Psalms‬ ‭84:11‬ ‭NIV‬‬

As we walk with God each day, and seek him in prayer, we might remember to ask for the strength, wisdom and courage to praise him even when he seems distant to us. He is worthy of our praise for all things. For without him, we have nothing. All good in our lives is due to God, yet we shouldn’t need a miracle to praise him. My brothers and sisters, I assure you Christ alone is reason enough!

For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning. Psalms‬ ‭30:5‬ ‭NIV‬‬

The Father’s promise of a savior, and Jesus’ willingness to die on the cross for us will always be reason enough to praise him! God created us, and after our first sin in the garden he could have given up on us, but instead, he promised us a savior!

So the Lord God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this, “Cursed are you above all livestock and all wild animals! You will crawl on your belly and you will eat dust all the days of your life. And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.” Genesis‬ ‭3:14-15‬ ‭NIV‬‬

From the very beginning, God promised to redeem us and claimed the victory over the enemy and death. He is worthy of our praise! Jesus gave his life for us as he hung on that tree, after being beaten nearly to death. He was scourged, mocked, hit, spit at, had his beard plucked, and thorns driven into his head. Then carried his cross for us!

Can we carry ours for HIM?

Jesus alone is reason enough for us to glorify God; we need no other reason. Still, after all that was done to him, he spoke these words.

Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” And they divided up his clothes by casting lots. Luke‬ ‭23:34‬ ‭NIV‬‬

I submit to you, it should have been you and I on that cross, but the Lord had Grace and Mercy.

He alone is worthy, let us praise him daily!

Remember to love one another…
