How We Approach God

In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence. Ephesians‬ ‭3:12‬ ‭NIV‬‬

There is no other way to approach our God, then through our Lord, and His son, Christ Jesus.

Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.” John‬ ‭14:23‬ ‭NIV‬‬

In Christ we can reach the Father directly and boldly, with confidence and freedom. This is our Lord’s desire.

It was now about noon, and darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon, for the sun stopped shining. And the curtain of the temple was torn in two. Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.” When he had said this, he breathed his last. Luke‬ ‭23:44-46‬ ‭NIV‬‬

When the curtain was torn, the Father became accessible to us, through Christ Jesus. Now there are no other barriers, and no other Way! All roads lead through Christ, and he doesn’t make it difficult for us to be with Him.

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.” John‬ ‭14:6-7‬ ‭NIV‬‬

There is no reason to lack confidence in our approach to God, when we walk with Him in Christ.

“If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.” John‬ ‭15:7‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Confidence and freedom, this is how we walk with God.  What does our Lord say?

“Righteous Father, though the world does not know you, I know you, and they know that you have sent me. I have made you known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them.” John‬ ‭17:25-26‬ ‭NIV‬

God is Love.

Remember to love and encourage one another always.
