Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him. Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken. Psalms 62:5-6 NIV
Where does your hope come from?
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13 NIV
Hope is the cornerstone of the Christian message. When Jesus secured our forgiveness by shedding his own blood, hope was born. Jesus is our hope!
Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. Hebrews 10:23 NIV
Hope is an important aspect not only in our faith, but is key in planting seeds to potential believers. After all, have you ever men anyone who doesn’t want a life filled with hope? But not everyone has heard about the hope that Jesus offers. This is a message everyone needs to hear!
Here’s some advice that Peter gives us:
But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect. 1 Peter 3:15 NIV
Why not tell others about the hope you have found in Jesus? Let’s give everyone the chance to live with the same hope we do. I heard about someone, who, when sharing the gospel was asked, “What if you’re wrong?” He replied, “If I’m wrong, I live with hope, if I’m right I live forever.” A very good reason for hope, and a belief in Christ!
God’s master plan for each one of us includes giving us hope.
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11 NIV
Hope and a future, that is what God desires to give us.
Live with hope always and in every situation, live in Him.
