So the Lord God said to the serpent: “Because you have done this, You are cursed more than all cattle, And more than every beast of the field; On your belly you shall go, And you shall eat dust All the days of your life. And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel.” Genesis 3:14-15 NKJV
Upon making this decree the Lord solved the biggest problem we would ever have, eternal separation from Him.
When God made the decision to send His son to give up His life for us on the cross, He was making a way for the relationship between God and man to be restored. Jesus is the seed of Eve that bruised the heel of the serpent, as declared so many years earlier in the garden. One decree of many, that God makes throughout HIS word, paving a way for our salvation.
“Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’” Isaiah 41:10 NKJV
Our God tells us over and over again, not to worry and not to be afraid! Why? Because in HIM, we have nothing to fear and nothing to worry about.
In the beginning, he solved all of our problems with one promise when He declared, “I am coming to save you!”
All of our problems are already solved in Christ Jesus!
“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” John 14:27 NKJV
Jesus did not say it would always be easy, in fact he prepared us to expect difficult times, but he promised to give us all the peace we need.
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33 NIV
God planned to send his Son to die for us from the very beginning , so that we would have eternal life. He has already provided the solution for our biggest problem! Our part is easy!
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9 NIV
So why worry, and why be afraid?
God solved all our problems, with one decree, one promise, in the very beginning of time. He has won every battle, and gives us the road map to have eternal life with Him!
For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. 2 Timothy 1:7 NIV
Always look to HIM and love one another!
