And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; For You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You. Psalms 9:10 NKJV
Our God continues to arm us with everything we need to enjoy a relationship with him. Throughout His Word, he makes very clear, the need and the ease in loving him. It all starts with spending time in his presence and in his Word every day.
He says:
“I love those who love me, And those who seek me diligently will find me.” Proverbs 8:17 NKJV
He promises this hope and joy, and always keeps his promises. How great is our God!
Seek the Lord while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near. Isaiah 55:6 NKJV
Do you notice a common theme here? Seek me, look to me, and you will find me! This is the ultimate answer to everything.
What else do we need to know?
But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Hebrews 11:6 NKJV
Mark writes:
When He had called the people to Himself, with His disciples also, He said to them, “Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. Mark 8:34 NKJV
The Lord desires our fellowship, and our commitment to The Way. He tells us all we need to do to find and keep our relationship with Him.
Listen to what Jesus says regarding that desire:
“Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.” John 17:24 NKJV
Is it possible that a commitment to continually seek him and follow him will lead us right where HE wants us to be? I submit, that’s exactly where he wants us to be, in a place where we continually seek to be close to him. That’s where we should all aspire to be.
